Setting up the TAG filter was easy.  You can make changes securely and even customize how you want everything set up.  Rabbi Gross took the time to explain everything thoroughly and facilitate the process.  It’s a great resource everyone should utilize.

My experience with TAG has been positive and productive. Rabbi Gross’s attention to detail and customer service are exceptional. He has been courteous, available, knowledgeable, and flexible in his approach. He even tried to help me during his off hours with a problem that I only mentioned to him in passing earlier. In addition the TAG office hours and location are convenient since it is open on Sundays.

Having a local TAG office in Atlanta is a wonderful resource. My husband and I were concerned with having unprotected computers and phones in our home (especially with our children having unvetted access to the internet) and now we have a place to go for help. We met with Rabbi Gross to determine what would be the most effective solution for our family. We opted to use Nativ, a more advanced filter that also greys out images. While it occasionally blocks sites that we want (and need to request access to), we feel it is a minimal trade-off for the peace of mind that we now have for our family.

A big thank you to R’ Akiva Gross, the head of Atlanta’s Technology Awareness Group, who gave me a quick and easy fix to a bothersome problem. You wouldn’t think a business/stock market website like CNBC.com would include images that a ben Torah would want to avoid. It does. R’ Akiva didn’t have to spend more than 30 seconds to recommend an easy-to-employ Chrome extension that blocks images. Exactly what I was hoping for! You can call R’ Akiva at 678-235-4644 or grab him on the run for suggestions which will certainly enhance the mitzva of Shmiras Ei’nayim.

With TAG Atlanta’s help I was able to find a solution for a very annoying problem: ads appearing on my email home page. Rabbi Gross was very patient, knowledgeable and caring. Finally we too in Atlanta can utilize such a great service.
Mr. Simon (Simcha) Barayev

After hearing about TAG Atlanta, administered in Atlanta by Rabbi Gross, I somewhat tentatively decided to put his expertise to the test one day, and approached him for a quick curbside ‘consultation’. I stopped him in the hall and asked if he could make a recommendation for a reasonable ad-blocker, making a rather vague statement about the kind of advertising that I found most disruptive. He asked a few technical questions (which browsers, etc) and understood what I was asking immediately without any personal intrusions, without any agenda to mold my internet experience to some external or restrictive standard. With the barest of pauses, he offered a suggestion to address my needs, without cost. The whole exchange lasted less than 45 seconds.

I implemented his suggestion the next day—and within days consciously noted the refreshing difference! All of the sudden, the Internet regained a sense of productive focus, many fewer distractions to buy similar items for what I had shopped for just yesterday, and far fewer distractions to capture my attention in other more personal arenas as well. The difference was quite palpable—especially so by contrast when I used unblocked browsers—and where all the distracting content was laid out for the taking.

Rabbi Gross assures me he has a whole host of tools at his—and your—disposable, to address a wide variety of issues. He represents merely the local extension of expertise offered by a worldwide and professional organization, which brings a wide repertoire of technological solutions for a world confronted by a wide range of technologically complex ethical and practical challenges. I can heartily recommend TAG a valuable personal resource, well worth exploring, no matter what your Internet concerns are.
